Head Porting and Polishing

    The head porting department at WRE keeps our Superflow SF-600 Flow Bench busy year round, looking for that perfect combination of ports, valves, seat angles and combustion chambers. Subtle changes are made and then tested. For the upper end classes we test our theories on the Engine Dyno, this shows how efficiently the head works with the cam.

More flow does not always mean more power!

    Often times we will gain on our our flow bench to find that it doesn't make more power on the dyno. There are some combustion chamber designs that we stay away from, they flow better but do not burn the fuel as well, causing the engine to loose as much as 7 H.P. at peak torque.
