When we disassemble an engine with solid lifters the lifters are places in order on our CART ZILLA engine carts. They are cleaned and inspected for scaring and wear marks on both the lobe side and the pushrod seat area.

    Roller lifters are lightly rinsed in clean naptha, then inspected for damage to the roller wheel and roller wheel bearings. The upper area of the lifters are wet magnafluxed for cracks and a visual inspection of the pushrod seat is performed.
